about this projects
Waterless is a series of photos that relate location with the loneliness derived from an absence.
The lack of that something that makes us in some ways unique but especially useful and without it we are only abandoned.
The location of the photos is a swimming pool out of use since the early 80's.
The pool has lost its intimate usefulness and is left abandoned. But this does not make it less fascinating: there remain traces of the passage of the water. This little characteristic allowed this project to come to life.
Without water the pool shows a side of self that otherwise would not be visible, shows that little of water that is left to her that is gone but still remains indelible.
Despite this absence, the water is there, there are its traces even in life that is reborn through tiles and debris, there is its passage.
